Collaborative Image Annotation

After reading Monica Edinger’s post, In the Classroom:Annotating Charlotte’s Web,  I was instantly inspired to explore annotation using Web 2.0 tools. Annotating images has been made simple and collaborative with tools such as Marqueed. Marqueed is a good starting point with a simple drag and drop format. Files can be uploaded, commented on(using a draw or textbox feature), and easily shared amongst the classroom team.

Ideas incude:

  • Marking up maps
  • Labeling parts
  • Dicussing/Analyzing historical images
  • Analyzing Poetry
